Monthly meetings of the East Side Network
Cafe are for taking care of business, to be sure. The array of
offerings produced by the groups depends on the shared ideas and working
hands of many, many people. Ad hoc planning teams work on specific projects between meetings according to the interest of the members, and bring their work to the whole group for refinement. The work that happens around this table is lively and engaging.
Even more important, however, are
the relationships which are formed. Collaborative
members grow to depend on each other for creative ideas, candid
feedback, professional consultation and networking on a variety of youth-related topics. We plan and work learn and grow together. We develop common expectations to guide our activities. We work on the premise that stronger relationships mean stronger contributions to the lives of those we serve.
East Side Network Cafe meets on the second Monday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon.
Most
meetings are held at the Dayton's Bluff Recreation Center, 800 Conway
Street in St Paul. Representatives of any organization which serves
youth on the East Side and North End of Saint Paul are welcome.
